Case Study:
Michigan SBTDC
Challenge
Collaboration amongst our more than 100 consultants is essential. Strong communication between a Grand Rapids based headquarters and a field of multiple offices across the state is critical. Collaboration and communication is a constant challenge due to the vast geography of Michigan. We needed to get better at communicating.
Solution
We used PSG to help us in five different settings:
- Team-building and communication amongst our State Headquarters team of six
- Hiring new employees
- Problem-solving amongst employees to help deal with performance issues
- Engaging leadership (regional directors) to strengthen their work on committees, ad hoc groups, etc.
- Strengthening local clusters of consultants within regions to increase their comfort zone in co-counseling, team consulting
